Please note documents in Puerto Rico are in Spanish.
Put in what you know. Your full name, place of birth, year of birth. FYI living persons are protected and can’t be seen. Next, put in your parents’ names, place of birth, year of birth. If you have their birth certificates look and see if you have the names of their parents and where they were born. The more information you have the better the algorithm will be able to help you. An important side note is that in Puerto Rico names are very similar and knowing where your parents, and grandparents were living will help you with your search. I would recommend asking all of your living relatives.
Once you have a couple of surnames you can begin.
